Cosmic rays: where do they come from, and how can they affect computers?

I am in love with this video, along with the idea that the universe itself introduces an element of chance into even a totally bug-free program.

He also has a recent video which is basically: "Self-Driving Cars will Save Humanity!" Even though the A.I, and the drivers that monitor them very rarely take the variation of disabled pedestrians into account when programming for shared public space (such as blind people who are less likely to hear the super quiet engines, or wheelchair-, or crutch-users, whose silhouettes are less likely to be flagged as "human shaped.").

But yes -- that video was fun.
