Since the pandemic began, there have been thousands of lawsuits filed by PWD regarding inaccessible websites and software applications, and educationsal institutions have received a lot of negative publicity. The Department of Justice is going to be issuing some tougher guidelines in the near future regarding digital accessibility, and even Harvard has had to finally accept that digital access is included under the ADA. So, basically, a lot of this turnaround has occurred because the pandemic underscored just how little attention most businesses and educational institutions were paying to the ADA.
