I was poking around trying to find a version of one of my favorite songs and found this live version of Cheryl Wheeler's "Ghandi/Buddha"

in which Cheryl talks about getting married to her partner when gay marriage was legalized.

A great story, and, unlike Vienna Teng's "City Hall," it doesn't make me tear up every time I hear it.

In case you think I am a big squishy romantic though, the version of the song I really wanted is the counterversion, in which Cheryl expresses the point of view of her partner, and this always makes me wonder if Alexx has similar thoughts. Here is the counterversion

So what's the "favorite song" you didn't find?

Paul Thorn's "I'm Still Here," which has become my theme song lately. Actually, I did find a couple of videos of it on YouTube, but they all have that drunk woman screaming "I love you!" and "Wooooooo-hooooo!" as she stands next tot he person witht he camera. I don't think it is the same inebriated woman every time, but it made me realize that many videos have this woman in them. I made a note to self to make sure I was never one of these women.
