Though everything appears to be wonderfully accessible so far, I'll be helping out with accessibility in ReCONvene 2020.
If you know any fans with disabilities who may have been tentative about dealing with a large convention in a complicated physical space, this virtual convention would be a great opportunity for them to experience a con without leaving the comfort of their own home.
Lastly, a note for those who may not be familiar with Boskone: this is a convention which focuses on books, so it is particularly appealing to bibliophiles, and I kow how much PWD love their science and speculative fiction.

Date: 2020-07-12 05:29 pm (UTC)Its visual display has that "super modern web" feeling, where everything floats around. When I use my "suppress all css" trick so I can use my default fonts, there seems to be almost no content.
In other words, I give up. You're way ahead of me when it comes to JAWS tricks. Happy to be a human screenreader on the phone if that would be useful.

Date: 2020-07-12 05:48 pm (UTC)For the first of the Grenadine pages, I used Jaws key+F7, which shows the links ont eh page.
For the next page, after adding the registration to my basket, the Proceed to checkout button appears *above* the basket, which is why I missed it the first time.
Filling out the form, there is a fifteen minute timer before it "gives your ticket" to the next person, and the timer gets announced every few seconds, which is distracting, and possibly a hurdle for some visually impaired users and those with motor impairments.
I used my PayPal account, which cut down ont he time it took me, but someone who had to switch back and forth between a window with credit card numbers and the registration page could find it difficult.
As a screen reader user, I'm not impressed with Grenadine, though it is technically accessible for an experienced user.
