I only recently noticed that a setting in my e-mail program had organized e-mail messages by thread, wich makes it almost impossible for me to find many e-mails and notifications. This morning I finally found the appropriate setting to reset that back to a chronological list, and suddenly there is this flood of e-mail I didn't even suspect was there.

I'm trying to catch up but, meanwhile, I apologize if you sent me e-mail and I failed to respond to it.

It is the perfect example of my oft-spoken statement that "help" is a four-letter word which should be safe, sane, and consentual.
I almost used my "assistive tech will make you crazy" tag for this post, but then realized that for once I could not blame the assistive tech.
