I think that this is about as much TV as I have watched in the past year, but love those accents! Who is the nice man who reprimands Seth MacFarlane with "That's what happens when you don't come to rehearsals?" I want a sound clip of just that sentence. Also, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss is awesome.

Date: 2012-09-25 12:03 am (UTC)I'm thinking that "nice man" was spliced in: it was so perfectly timed! The writers were so starved for humor that they went for a silly mic rising out of the stage gag. Whoever, I bet it will be a ring tone near you next week.
D'you think that JLD and Amy Poehler had matching gags ready if Poehler won?

Date: 2012-09-25 11:26 am (UTC)I expect that JLD and her co-conspirator had other skits cooked up: the beauty of really good comediennes is that they manage to make it look so spontaneous. Also, that they often manage to look so "I'm not getting it"; have you ever seen JLD in "My Favorite Year," where a male comedy writer is trying to explain to his girlfriend, played by JLD, how to tell a joke so that it is funny? Now I'm wondering if that is on YouTube...
