There are a lot of chefs in New Orleans, but Chef Kevin is my favorite: his recipes and ingredients are suited to the average person, his instructions are easy to follow, and he's very funny.

Today being Epiphany, the Feast of Kings, and the first day of Mardi Gras season, Chef Kevin provides this video on how to make the original French version of King Cake (omg, King Cake! more about that in a later post.).

New Orleans music is still happening, and a lot of these live streaming events are happening outside, so you can even get a bit of that New Orleans scenery and atmosphere. If you're using the Microsoft Soundscape app like me, you can even virtually walk around and mark your favorite places to listen to live music.
