U.C. Davis chemistry PhD candidate Henry Wedler said his blindness is actually an advantage when it comes to visualizing molecules. Wedler recently was given a $6,000 grant from Learning Ally, which makes academic audio books. Video by Ed Fletcher

Kes: I've mentioned The Eyeborg Project previously--it's a man who had his prosthetic eye implanted with a camera hooked up to a live webcam--and in his YouTube video, he travels the world talking to other cyborgs on the subject of augmentation
