The Facebook post also mentions being able to use their Setasilk paints for the batik, and I know they sell tie-dye silk scarf kits that you can do in the microwave.
This sounds relatively simple but...chartreuse and violet?? Oh my eyes!

Chartreuse and violet are really happening colors right now. The name "chartreuse" has a heap o' negative connotations, so the wordsmiths of industry have come up with a hundred varieties: kiwi, pistachio, and seedling are my favorites.

I prefer my chartreuse with a deep, Italian eggplant purple (as opposed to the Asian eggplant lavender). Add some gold highlights and we're smoking. In fact, I just noticed I'm wearing a chartreuse fuzzy Acrylic-cotton cardigan, with a Burgundy shirt and dark gray pants. But then I'm not know for much besides dressing like a clown.

You make it sound so reasonable and...tempting. I would totally wear that color combination, except I don't trust the word descriptions Web sites give, due to the incredible variations in what should be something simple like "lavender," or "leaf-green," which can just as easily turn out to be stab-your-eyes out neon.
