No sure he level of tech is adequate for eye prosthetics, as these need to be particularly sterile and smooth, but 3D printing would offer more opportunity for modding, while still be incredibly cheaper--anybody could be an Aimee Mullens, with a prosthetics wardrobe to cover a variety of needs and social situations.
