Well that was ...different

When people used to ask me how acute angle glaucoma felt, I used to describe it as feeling as if your eyeballs are going to shoot out of your head and across the room.

My right prosthetic just tried to do that.

I blinked, and it shot out, bounced off my laptop screen, and then fell onto my laptop, where it just lay there looking up at me like, "So, whatcha gonna do about *that*?"

I got nothing.

Except to post about it here and maybe amuse some of my friends. It's okay to laugh.

If I managed to make someone snorfle soda bubbles out of his or her nose, I would be extra pleased with myself.

Yikes!

Hope the keys don't scratch it. And are these the ones after the fit was improved?

This is one of the new prosthetics, specifically, the one for the eye which of late has had all the operations. The issue is that there hadn't been a prosthetic in that eye for almost a year, and so when they fitted it for the new one, the prosthetic seemed oversized, but I guess a lot of swelling and such has continued to go down, because now it is too small.

I have a followup visit tot he ocularist, but that isn't until May 18, and I don't want to move the appt. even if I could, because Alexx already arranged to take that day off.
