Yes, the reason I had such strong criticism of the book was that it had all the ingredients to be really outstanding, but a lot of cliche got in the way. The author thanked her reading group and those who had given her feedback, and it had a couple of impressive names in it, so I was even more surprised that those weaknesses didn't get critiqued. But, oh! that protagonist was such an annoying doormat!
Re things in the mail: oo! I love getting loot. I just got my copy of _The Secret Feminist Cabal_ yesterday. I also ordered a bunch of books today, as I plan on hibernating through Feb. and the majority of March. I had to buy another braille labeler--I have to buy one per year, as I seem to be rather hard on them; must be all those books I label.
I'll ask Alexx if he can post some pics of the Delirium eyes, and I plan on posting a pic of the prosthetic eye which a local jewelymaker turned into a key fob.
