Did you see the movie "Crip Camp"? If not, I *really* recommend it--it's on Netflix, and is available with audio description, and a downloadable transcript. Having the chance to hear people's actual voices, both in the present and recordings from the past, when the protests were actually happening, is very powerful.

Not yet! I haven't been watching much TV, but Crip Camp is on my must-see list.

I don't typically watch a lot of TV, either, although during this week of 95 degree weather, staying in a room with an air conditioner watching movies was basically a survival strategy, but I'm glad I watched "Crip Camp," because there were a lot of stories in there that don't typically get told, such as how the San Frnacisco sit-in had so much support from the Black Panthers and the gay and lesbian community. Those stories need to be told more.
