Celebrate with me!
Kes: Wow, so many typos! Apologies for that, I meant to proofread it and I forgot.
Today is the day my Covid vaccine immunity kicks in at full capacity, or as full as it gets, however I'm supposed to phrase that, and I am celebrating this by walking to the closest Dunkin Donuts and buying a *huge* box of donuts and then consuming *all* the donuts!
Okay, in reality, I don't eat very much, and I will probably eat two donuts before having to acknowledge that I feel very full so, realistically, I will actually be sharing these donuts with my housemates.
Dunkin Donuts glazed donuts have been the thing I have been obsessing about for the past three months, because I have not had a Dunkin Donuts donut for about a year and a half, which numerous people I have mentioned this to have agreed is inhuman, even during pandemic conditions.
Also, the second Covid vaccine shot triggered a truly miserable rheumatoid arthritis flare up, and during the same week, Siri broke, and it took most of the week for the engineers to fix it from their end, so using my iPhone was much more annoying, and Fed Ex spent five days driving my $500 patio furniture set around New England (no kidding--it toured NJ, Conn., and even Mass.) before cancelling the order, which involved making a lot of phone calls to Amazon to reorder the furniture from a different seller. And this was all in the same five-day period.
Note: For the benefit of screen reader users, this next sentence is in all caps.
BUT TODAY THERE WILL BE DONUTS!!!

Convaxulations!
Ahhh, donuts! I was the donut messenger when I lived in your parts.
Damn, Siri's server was gefucked?
Damn, sorry to learn about the RA flare -- tho it could be evidence of an operating immune system?
Re: Convaxulations!
Also, I am currently reading _Chaos on CatNet_, and Alexx alerted me that Certain Persons are mentioned, but I *did not* stay up late last night to finish the book because today was Donuts Day. I have just returned from donuts, however, and already consumed my first chocolate glased donut (that is, a chocolate cake donut with glaze on it), and *it was amazing*, so now I can continue reading _Chaos on CatNet_. Also, I recognized Betsy's name. Were those just friend shout outs, or was it because you won a charity event?
The Siri breaking incident was weird because someone else, who is a VoiceOver user and on a local blind computer users list I am on, broke at the same time, but she managed to get hers fixed through tech support, while my tech support couldn't figure it out, so I had to set up the diagnostics log and send it to the engineers, and of course it happened on a Saturday morning, so it didn't get fixed until sometime on Wdnesday.
Re: Convaxulations!
I am so jealous of your donuts.
I am so behind I haven't even opened the new Murderbot nor Chaos.
Was it a hardware issue in your phone?
Re: Convaxulations!
Really. Not. A. Good. Week.
Re: Convaxulations!
Mother of Pearl! What a fucking disaster.
The voice-jail menu is just shit sprinkles on a crap sundae.
I sent a parcel to Washington state with the post office, and it visited North Carolina and Alabama before it arrived.
May your lawn chairs arrive before the mosquitoes hatch!

I can't remember how I earned this Tuckerization (warning wikipedia) -- ruffled through my receipts with no answers. (Maybe it was Twitter?)
I'm certainly glad of it!
VDR's controls on the bottom are left to right:
When I long press a nav button, I can choose between nav units of time, or structure (sentence/paragraph), or bookmark/highlight. The setting I choose is stored with the document.
When I long press Play/Pause, I can pick timers in 15 minute increments or type in my own duration.
Sadly, it doesn't support a "til the end of this section" feature -- but of course it's you, who never stops reading.

When I'm fully vaccinated in ten days, I'm going to take a walk. In the daytime.

Ten days: I will be cheering for you! That is the day before the beginning of Memorial Day weekend, so maybe you will be able to take a walk around your neighborhood and take in some of the fun. I have *plans* for the weekend, which I will post about ind etail later.

Sunscreen? Oh, gosh, I guess I'd better remember to comb my hair. I know I still have a comb around here somewhere. . . .

I was a leisurewear person well before this happened. I sometimes feel like this entire year was the world catching up with my lifestyle. :)

For several years Madison lacked any Dunkin' Donuts; it was very sad.
