Signs of spring!

There's a bird riot going on outside my window! They are definitiely awake and active. And probably fighting over some bird babe. Why does the cycle of life have to happen right outside my window.

I've spent the last couple of days decluttering the aerye. It's been on my to do list for the past six months: writing, Zoom meetings, webinars, courses, and virtual Mardi Gras kept me pretty busy.

There are additional benefits to decluttering, aside from a lighter, cleaner personal space:
1. It's very soothing.
2. It gives you an excuse to blast your music (in case you needed one).
3. You find stuff you haven't been able to put your hand on in a while, so it's almost like getting new stuff. Yesterday, I found my favorite pair of
Gingher embroidery scissors that I haven't been able to find for the past six months.
4. It's a chance to say, yes, that was a fun and interesting phase of my life, and I learned a lot from it, but I don't think I need to keep the clothes and the cheap jewelry in order to keep the memories. Btw: does anyone want a PVC dress and a pair of 5-inch heeled Mary Janes?

Yes, I used to be able to not only wear them but walk in them, including climbing stairs: both straight women and cross-dressing men would tell me they were jealous.

There are people to whom I would offer the shoes, but they are a size 6 or maybe a 6 1/1, because I have small feet, so they don't fit many people.

You don't happen to know Bonnie Denis, do you? She was just looking for "some fun size 6 heels [she] could borrow over the weekend" now that she has prosthetics that can wear them.

No, I don't think I know her--does she live in the Boston area? If so, and she or someone she knows can arrange pickup, they're hers. I also have a pair of black velvet pumps that have maybe a 3-inch heel that could be hers.

Also, please extend Bonnie my congrats on the new prosthetics! As the owner of a pair of prosthetic eyes bassed on those of Delirium from Neil Gaiman's Sandman, I applaud Bonnie's sense of style.

Okay, but please allow me to recommend my favorite shoe and boots store: it's in Salem, Mass., but they started out as an online store, so they're still going strong on the Internet. I got my black leather hightops with orange bats and spiderwebs from this place
