I am embarassed that I completely missed that, so thank you for bringing that to my attention. On the one hand, I am getting pretty hardcore that any large business or agency should have at least one in-house person who just deals with accessibility, instead of referring compliance and complaints to customer service, who often don't know much if anything about accessibility. In particular, I am getting pretty disgusted with the fact that my insurance company denies assistive technology requests, including smart plugs for wheelchair users, but doesn't have a single person knowledgeable about accessibility. On the other hand, companies like this are better than nothing, I guess, maybe, and I like the no-nonsense tone of the Bureau. Also: part of me imagines them as the Lone Gunmen from X-Files, the Lone Gunmen of accessibility. I could totally spin the continuing inaccessibility of information and services as a conspiracy to pursuade pwd that they are disempowered. I need to go now before I begin writing the fanfic.
