The day after Alexx's surgery

I just called BMC and was told Alexx is awake and doing very well, aside from post-surgery discomfort (it turns out that morphine has no effect on him). I am going to visit him tomorrow.

Holy shit — I hope there’s some painkiller that does work! (I’m in the same boat, and have tolerated injected toradol, an NSAID.)
