Creating a feed from DreamWidth to crosspost to Facebook
Okay, I give up: where are they hiding the directions on how to do this?

DW only supports crossposting to LJ-like platforms. Not FB.

The method I use is to crosspost to LJ, and have LJ crosspost to FB. This adds a bit to the chain that can get clogged up, but it does alright.

Iused to do that, but a few months ago it stopped working on the LJ end, and at some point while reading LJ FAQs, it mentioned that LJ posts had to be set to public, but a few months ago I went friends-only due to excessive amounts of spam.
Are your LJ posts set to public?
