Well, fuck me with an NFB cane, there's more than one person with that experience? I'm thinking of Michael May, a lawyer, ace blind skier and president of the Sendero Group.

Mike's surgery gave him very low vision, and he was pretty much fine with that. Still uses a dog guide, reads braille, etc.

Now I'm gonna track down Lovier Sacks.
