George Orwell wasn't vision impaired, was he?

Kes: unlike Aldous Huxley, who was, but this Orwell quote pretty well describes what it's it's like for me to try to focus on what everyone else is focusing on, as opposed to the thigns I see in my head, on which I have no trouble focusing.

Please ignore if too pushy, but are you seeing anything these days? The sparkly wow prosthetics aren't hooked up to any nerves, are they?

I don't think Orwell was ever to be taken literarlly, but far-sighted people (like me) literally can't see what's in front of their nose. The muscles just don't work in that direction, and so the result is blurry color blobs plus muscle pain.

I still have a 0/0 visual acuity, and doubt that will change during my lifetime. My right eye, he one which I never saw out of, has a severed optic nerve due to the enucleation, while my left eye, which is the only eye in which I had even partial vision, only recieved an evisceration, so theoretically the optic nerve is still connected. If you looked at the Eyeborg-Deus Ex video to which I linked a couple of months ago, there was a man in it from one of the Nordic countries who had a neural prosthetic connected to his eyes which allowed him to see. I expect that he is about cutting edge, as he seemed to have much of the same missing/damaged eye parts that I do.
