I would highly recommend the short story collection published a few years ago by the New York Review of Books titled _Don't Look Now (Stories)_ (2008). Her novel _Rebecca_ is considered a classic--it's DDM's retelling of _Jane Eyre_--but I'm not sure that it has aged very well--the female protagonist is kind of a doormat. _Castle Dor_ looks good, but I haven't actually read it--it's a supernatural romance along the lines of Anne Seton's _Green Darkness_. Basically I would say go to the library and browse. I have some of thse in etext format if you are interested.
