I think "serpentine" might fit the sort of word I was looking for.


I don'\t remember much about the OED when I used it through the MIT library, but it seemed pretty usable as far as I can recall, and the new OED site looked kind of spiff when I checked it out a few months ago. I should recheck it, though I am not entirely sure I would notice fonts, except when I try to cut and paste something into an e-mail message and I get some sort of error for conflicting Unicode or something.
