OMG these notes are the *teeniest* bit of the giant mess of notes I have had this subject! But as for the history of lock picking, if you go back through my post just a little, I posted a link about three deaf-mute brothers from around the first decade of the 20th century who pick any lock from the time they were toddlers, and the article the link goes to was written by a man who was a lock historian, and by history, I mean he traced the history of locks back to ancient Sumeria. So you should go check out that guy's website, and at some point in the near future after Readercon is over and this !^%$&! heat wave breaks I will fill out my notes on more of what I learned over the past two months.
