John Dugdale is a blind photographer, and his descriptions of how he experiences his blindness are really close to my own. Oliver Sacks, on the other hand, is the guy who keeps explaining why bumblebees can't actually fly.

I know--I just found the name of the Victorian female photographer Dugdale mentioned in regard to Carlisle's photograph: her name is Julia Margaret Cameron, and she's really fascinating. Also, not only do I still have a copy of the article Sacks mentions, where he had a bunch of blind people twll him he got what they saw completely wrong, I mentioned it in my thesis.
