I heard about this a couple of weeks ago when some Midwestern state attempted to make the procedure illegal, although it's origins are as a medical procedure

When it comes to mobile devices, we're browsing like it's 1999

Kes: Note that this study is not about accessibility for users with disabilities, but *all* users. Still, there is a significant intersection: look at the link for mobile device users and screen reader users on the Amazon.com Web site. It offers half the functionality, including removing access to one's personal Wish list.

Summary:
In user testing, website use on mobile devices got very low scores,
especially when users accessed "full" sites that weren't designed for
mobile.
