word of the day: Googleganger
Kes: I *love* this word, and there is a bit of shivery syncronicity because I am currently reading E. T. A. Hoffman's _The Life and Opinioins of Tomcat Murr_, which may not only be the first instance of fiction with a feline narrator, but also has all the weird and gothic elements for which I adore Hoffman, including dopplegangers. Plus, it's a palimpsest.
